Women’s Caucus for Art Founded

The Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA) was founded on January 28, 1972, at the San Francisco convention of the College Art Association (CAA). Born from the feminist movement, it was established to fight gender discrimination and expand recognition for women in the arts.
