National Women’s Political Caucus Founded

The National Women’s Political Caucus was founded on July 10, 1971, in Washington, D.C. The organization was established by a coalition of approximately 300 prominent activists and feminist leaders to identify, recruit, train, and support women seeking elected and appointed office.
